Hey hey it’s Megan’s turn on the blog today!

This girl is the sweetest … and holy gorgeousness, am I right?  Effortless beauty … and Jami had so much fun with her makeup and hair!

I love shooting at Vasquez Rocks no matter the time of year, but Fall is my favorite time to shoot there (even though I just shot family pics there after it snowed and it was GORGEOUS … but freezing lol)

You might think we wouldn’t have too much variation when shooting at a place like Vasquez, but you’d be wrong!  We timed this session perfectly for the sun – it was in just the right position and we got SO many incredible backlit shots – as well as these amazing environmental shots … so picturesque.

And because Megan is a pro and SO easy to shoot, we go through all her outfits really easily.  There’s more photos than on this blog post, but you get the idea.  My goal with any senior session is to get as much variety as possible – so we like to start casual and then move into more colorful/edgy or dramatic wardrobe.  For Megan’s session, though, I knew I wanted to time it so I could shoot this amazing burnt sienna dress at sunset – and leave the sweater for when the sun had gone down to get more moody, soft photos.

I mean …. omg, right?

I like to move a LOT during my sessions – and I mean that my client moves, and so do I lol.  I believe that movement is KEY in bringing life and energy into an image.  Even slight movements make the biggest difference and can breathe life into an otherwise stale moment.  

Even though the sun had gone down by the time we shot these last few, I love the softness and “fallness” of these 😉
