Happy Sunday!! I’m beyond excited to bring to you, Sophie’s senior pics that we shot down in Ventura last month. Man, this girl is so fun to shoot with!!!!
Her style is off the charts awesome and since she’s a Virgo (ahem, like me) – she knew exactly what she wanted for her session. She chose Ventura for it’s urban feel and its close proximity to the beach. We found the cutest areas to shoot in!
This outfit .. this location. Am I right?? Such a cute little hidden alleyway right in the middle of downtown Ventura! It was the perfect setting for this outfit and I just can’t get enough of these colors and tones ….
Jami did an excellent job with Sophie’s hair and makeup, as usual. Love the little scarf she brought to accent this look – it’s the little things that really make a big difference.
Okay …. how lucky to find this yellow car next to this green building – while she was wearing this outfit???? I mean, come ON!
LOOOOOVE this look! I’m telling you, sometimes things just line up perfectly when we walk, shoot, walk, shoot … this was one of those days. I had a pretty good idea of the area, but it’s been a few years since I’ve shot in Ventura. But here’s the thing – when you have been doing this as long as I have, you are just ready for whatever. I always tell my clients that I can make any location work and I mean it – it’s my job to make it happen for them – stress free 🙂
We chased the sun down to the beach and climbed over rocks to grab these last few shots. Sophie was freezing lol … but she rocked it!
It was SUPER windy (Ventura usually is) so we only had a few minutes to grab these. I used natural light for most of them but then pulled out the Profoto A1X for the last ones – to grab that gorgeous color as the sun faded away.

If there is one thing we know from this craziness that is 2020, is that ANYTHING can – and probably will – happen. Do not let your senior year slip away … even if school looks different than it normally does, we can still capture you at this time – and make it really special.
