PHOTOGRAPHER + LIFE/BIZ COACH

This is Isabella – she likes to be called Izzy!

She’s another member of my 2017 #rbmodel team and is a senior at West Ranch High School in Stevenson Ranch.  She is SO fun to shoot with! Her wardrobe was KILLER too ….. her mom is a pro and carted around a huge suitcase of all these amazing dresses! lol

Her outfits were so unique and beautiful … just wait, you’ll see what I mean! We decided a DTLA shoot would be fun with all the textures and colors there. First, we hit the streets but quickly moved into The Last Bookstore. This place is just amazing! I love all the nooks and crannies they’ve got – all totally made out of books!

I don’t know many people who can pull off an outfit like this, but Izzy handled it like a piece of cake! Not only is it long and gorgeous, but the colors just explode in front of the camera! She traipsed around downtown Los Angeles in this thing like it was no big deal – wish you could have seen the looks on the people passing by …. they all thought she was a model 🙂

The day was packed, but so much fun (even though we got kicked out of a few places)! Izzy’s mom and sister assisted her with all the changing of clothes on the street – I used to have a large tent the girls could change in, but we found that this caused more attention than just a quick human barricade. 🙂 Plus, Izzy is an accomplished athlete, like many of my clients are, so they are used to having to change on the fly.  Shooting on location is not for the faint of heart!

How cool is this top? I couldn’t get enough of her spinning! So much motion … a photographer’s dream!

Izzy’s makeup and hair were perfect and held up through the whole shoot. But of course, that’s to be expected when Jami’s on hand to do hair and makeup. And of course, Izzy knocked it out with this last wardrobe change. I told you I just love shooting this girl!! We were able to get these last low light shots thanks to my trusty Westcott Ice Lights that I NEVER leave home without!  We grabbed these inside – and just outside of – Union Station.

I’m super excited about Izzy’s album … it turned out absolutely perfect!
