I’m still in disbelief that we are in October already, but it does signify the start of my insanely busy season with my seniors!  I’m shooting NONSTOP this month and the lead up to the holidays is gonna be crazypants! 

But I am super excited to share Kate’s senior photos today!  

Kate is a DREAM to photograph!  Jami did such a wonderful job with her hair and makeup as well – just enough to accentuate her natural features (hello, freckles!) and her outfit choices were so perfect for our location.  We shot in Malibu at one of my favorite hiking trails and then headed to the beach. 

We had the most gorgeous light (love when I time this right lol)!

I always work closely with my clients and influencer team girls to make sure they are totally prepped for their session, which means making sure the wardrobe is set and planned ahead of time.  Sometimes we work with a stylist and sometimes the girls source the clothes themselves; Kate did this all on her own – she knew exactly what she wanted and it all came together perfectly.

Kate’s a dancer so we definitely had to grab some shots of her doing her thing.  She chose just the right outfit for these and we found a gorgeous spot on the trail with loads of yummy light to make these just … amazing if I do say so myself 🙂  *chef’s kiss

Again … cannot handle this light!!!  Kate is also one of those effortlessly natural “posers” – she just naturally holds herself with grace and stature (hello, dancer!), so that makes my job so much easier tbh.  We worked together really well 🙂

Next, we headed to one of my favorite beaches and climbed some rocks!  Such a killer color combo with this orange free people number, right?

The last shots of the day were equally magical, you guys.  Yeah, there were a lot of people on the beach, but we were still able to grab some gorgeous shots of Kate in this beautiful blue dress.

Fun fact: Kate’s older sis was one of my very first model team girls way back when I first started this whole thing in Santa Clarita!  I’m so grateful I was able to capture Kate’s senior photos as well 💜

As I mentioned earlier, this month is insane for me regarding senior portraits – I’ll be shooting all over Los Angeles and down to Orange County as well.  November will be just as busy because we’ll be in the lead up to the holidays and although I am still planning to do limited family mini sessions this year, I haven’t been able to even release that info and dates yet!  So stay tuned for info on those …

And Class of 2021, we need to get you scheduled in late November, early December OR January – March.  My calendar will be filling quickly this month for those months and I’ll also be doing a lot of branding sessions in the studio, so do not wait to get booked.  I want to make sure we get you in! 

FYI, any Class of 2021 who books a session with me will also have the opportunity to shoot cap and gown minis with me at graduation time!  These are so much more fun than the ones you get with your school’s contracted photographer 😉
