I finally got a chance to blog Ally’s senior session!  I really wanted to get this up before leaving for Palm Springs (she came with me as my winner in the Senior’s Ignite National Model Competition Shootout!) …. but life got super nuts and I didn’t have time to get it all done :/  But that’s okay because now I can include a few sneaks of her from our time there!

AMAZING, amIright?  She just killed it – and everyone fell instantly in love with her, as I knew they would.  I cannot wait to share more images from this past week – it was beyond incredible! 

For those of you who don’t know, I am a lead shooter and co-leader of a photography group called Senior’s Ignite – and every year, I enter my senior models (and some of my clients too!) into their National Model competition.  I’ve had SEVEN winners – and every year is better than the last – we just keep doing such cool stuff!   Ally (along with my other past winners) won a trip to model for two days with full styling and hair/makeup – at various destinations (this time Palm Springs).  She also will receive all the digital images that were shot of her – plus a custom album of them from me.  It’s a whirlwind experience – and Ally had a BLAST with the other 12 winners from all over the country!   I put her up at the Saguaro Hotel – and we also shot on one of the days there; such a cool hotel!  

I’m not 100% sure if the model competition will continue as it has in the past for Class of 2019 (I’m signing my 2019 Model Team up NOW) – but even if it doesn’t, I will most definitely put some kind of destination shoot on myself (along with Jami of course and team up with some other photographer friends as well!) because this is just too much fun!  

Okay – back to the main focus of this blog post – Ally’s senior session!

This girl is a DREAM to shoot – I mean, she kinda has it all – height, looks, brains, personality – AND she’s an amazing athlete! She’s heading to Tennessee in the Fall on a softball scholarship – something she has worked very hard for. We loved shooting with her out on her grandfather’s property in Malibu (and kinda didn’t want to leave lol!)

We started at the Rock Bar – a super cool biker bar in Malibu – and used her grandfather’s car and bike as props – but it’s really Ally who stole the limelight!

I absolutely loved her wardrobe styling. This girl knows how to pull an outfit together! That Free People two piece outfit is killer on her!!  

Then we headed up the mountain to a beautiful property that has been in her family for decades. There were gorgeous spots to shoot at every turn – seriously guys, I want to live there! I had to drag Jami outta there kicking and screaming! Do you blame us? I mean … wow!

Outfit after outfit – and THOSE BOOTS holy moly … it all just came together perfectly and we shot until we lost the sun and shot some more. I did NOT want to stop …
