And now for something a little different…this is Amanda.

I shot photos with her last year for her 13th birthday in a gorgeous natural location. This year for her Freshman photos, Amanda wanted something more urban and edgy, so we had some fun.

I love how adventurous she is!

Amanda is a phenomenal soccer player, and as we were wandering around DTLA , we found this indoor gym where guys were kicking a soccer ball around.  It was serendipitous so we asked if we could shoot a few in there … and they are were super cool about it. I absolutely love these shots.

We had such a fun day down in the LA Arts District. It was super special to be able to capture a few pics with mom! The canvases they got are beautiful and will add so much to their already beautiful home. We also created a stunning album that looks great displayed next to last year’s album!

You don’t have to wait until your senior year to have a photo session like this – I love working teens and have sessions designed just for them – documenting this special time in their lives.  Adolescence if fleeting; before you know it, high school is over.  The time between 12-17 is a time of massive change and growth!  What a perfect time to document where you are at this moment….

Didn’t Jami do an awesome job with her makeup?  We purposefully wanted to get a little more dramatic at the end – Jami likes to start natural, but then when we are doing more fashion/modeling images, it’s great to add a little more and just have fun with it.  Really hoping Amanda submits some of these to modeling agencies … she is SO easy and fun to photograph.
