So happy to connect with you here! If you're a fellow neurospicy creative, I hope you appreciate the mish-mash of goodness I have here; it's a little nutty but I love it - hope you do too!
Wow! What a busy summer I’ve had!! I’d like to introduce you to Alannah, another #2016rbmodel and #reneebowenSEEN models! Are these girls amazing or what? I love what I do! As a Los Angeles senior portrait photographer, I have the opportunity to take pictures of some amazing people! When do I get to take yours? Anyway, back to Alannah…
This Valencia High 2016 senior is a SERIOUSLY amazing girl! She’s SO smart…wise beyond her years! I had the pleasure of shooting her head shots a few years ago, so I knew ahead of time how awesome she is in front of my camera , but OMG, she brought her A-game to this session!
This girl has amazing curly hair! Jami, the greatest HMUA in the world, and I embraced it and went big with it. By the end of the shoot, it had softened beautifully into these gorgeous beachy waves.
Alannah was SO prepared and had everything planned and organized. She knew exactly what she wanted – she had even shared a Pinterest board with me so I would know ahead of time what kind of shots she was looking for.
We started the shoot out in Malibu at a great natural location. In spite of our lack of rain here in California, we were able to find some great color in this area.
I love all of Alannah’s choices for her clothes – she’s very much a Free People kind of girl. My favorite was this leather fringe jacket – love that 70s vibe!!
Later we headed down to El Matador beach. It was quite treacherous getting down the hill, but it was so worth it! It’s obviously a great location ’cause there were no less than 20 other photographers down there with us!
I just love Alannah, her mom and her sister! We all bonded after the endangerment of climbing down that hill to get to the beach – LOL! Jami hates me for making her do it all the time, but everyone is always glad we take these risks, because we end up with amazing shots like these!
I love the earthy crown I made for her. I wanted to incorporate more greenery than flowers to go with her authentic, natural vibe.
As you can tell, Alannah was a dream to photograph. She’s super comfy in front of the camera. She literally shines from within – SO full of life! We ended up staying out on the beach until sunset, but we were having such a fantastic time that I couldn’t go home just yet. So I drug out my handy-dandy ice lights and kept right on shooting.
Be sure to check out Alannah’s mobile app! Don’t forget you can have one too!!
You can also see more of Alannah’s shoot by watching her video!
Feel free to share on social media!!
I’ve been SUPER busy shooting all my #2016rbmodel reps and summer is still crazy…in a good way!! (And yes – I’m already getting 2017 Seniors asking how they can get on the team for next year! I haven’t released that info yet, so if you want to find out first, just get on the mailing list and I’ll be sure to let you know!)
There’s all kinds of fun ways to keep up with me — you can follow me on Instagram (@reneebowen), SnapChat (purtywun), and now Periscope!! You can catch my next Periscope broadcast by following me – reneebowen – I’ll be showing lots of cool shooting locations and even more of my #2016rbmodel and #reneebowenSEEN team members! I’m always out shooting Los Angeles Senior Portraits these days 😉
I can’t wait to shoot your photos……but, my sessions for the rest of the year are ALMOST GONE !! I’m also leaving town to teach in September and November… so my calendar dates are looking pretty slim. Email me or sign up on this form if you’d like to find out how to have your own awesome photo session!!
