Senior photography coaching + course by Renee Bowen

Senior Photographer Pro

Formerly Level Up

Become THE senior photographer in your area.

You love photography. I'll help you make money at it, while also having a life.

This is my complete senior photography business program, built by a working luxury senior photographer who is also a certified life and business coach. Marketing, pricing, selling, shooting for Gen Z (and soon to be Gen Alpha) + the mindset work beneath all of it, because strategy alone doesn't work.

I'm ready to build it

Be honest with me

You're a good photographer. The bookings haven't gotten the memo.

Tap the ones that sound like you.

Tap the ones that sound like you. I'll wait.

Okay, deep breath. I've been exactly there, and I can tell you the problem has never been your photography.

You can be the best photographer out there, but if you can't figure out how to make a living doing it, you'll burn out fast, and you won't have a business for very long. Marketing, getting clients, customer service, ordering, albums, client management... the list is long, and nobody hands you the instructions.

So you buy another posing class, because posing is the part that feels safe, and the part that's actually costing you money stays exactly where it is. Then you end up in a Facebook group at midnight asking strangers what to charge, and half of them tell you to lower your prices, which, babes, please don't.

And none of this should come at the expense of your mental health or your family. That's the part I care about the most, and it's why this program looks the way it does.

Picture this instead

A senior business that feels like yours.

Stay with me for a second and imagine it.

  • An inquiry comes in and she's already asking about albums.
  • You send your pricing and the mom writes back asking which Saturday works.
  • You open Instagram and know exactly what to say, so posting takes fifteen minutes instead of an hour.
  • Your rep team posts about you without you having to beg.
  • A parent asks ChatGPT for the best senior photographer in town, and your name comes up.
  • You raise your prices and the right clients stay.
  • The ordering session feels like helping a family pick out something they'll keep for the next thirty years.
  • Slow season turns into real time off with your people, instead of a panic spiral.

That's what it feels like to be THE senior photographer in your area, and it's completely buildable.

Why nothing else has stuck

You can't out-market a belief that you're not worth a $3,000 sale.

You can have the prettiest price list in your state and still apologize every single time you say it out loud.

Somewhere along the way you decided you're "just a photographer," and just a photographer doesn't get to charge like a business owner.

Your business is a reflection of how you feel. When you don't feel good about it, it's never going to look good to anyone else.

That's why this program starts with YOU before it ever gets to pricing or posting.

Once you see yourself differently, your clients see you differently too, and that's when everything starts clicking.

In their own words

What changes when you do the work.

"On our discovery call, she told me to increase my prices right then and there, so I did... in half of a year, I brought in more than I did the ENTIRE year of 2019 (my highest grossing year), without an increase in workload and solely by knowing and charging my worth."

Kelly Aoki

"Before [Senior Photographer Pro] I tried for years to break into the senior market but I couldn't book a single client to save my life. While being in [Senior Photographer Pro], I booked half a dozen and made my first $2400 sale."

Sierra Wilson, Wild Iris Photography

"I said I wanted 10k months and I finally crossed it this month... I've saved so much TIME being able to see how she runs her business."

Lindsay Warland

"I wasn't getting enough clients, and the few that were trickling in only wanted digitals... If it weren't for her, I would have given up. Honestly, I would have quit photography and gone back to my 9-5 job."

Dana Nakagawa

"I have made over $35K with my team this year which is right around the same amount I made for the entire year last year!"

Megan Hutchins, on the Creative Team Method

"We've increased our bookings, and the change in our mindset has positively impacted everything we do. We've even started charging more for our services, and clients are willing to pay for the quality we offer."

Quick quiz, no wrong answers

Which senior photographer are you right now?

In all my coaching, three kinds of photographers come to me for help, and most people are a little bit of two. Four questions, thirty seconds, and I'll tell you exactly where to start.

Question 1 of 4

Be honest. When an inquiry comes in, you...

Question 2 of 4

Your camera roll is mostly...

Question 3 of 4

The thing that keeps you up at night:

Question 4 of 4

I hand you a totally free Saturday. You...

Where to start:

Photographer walking on the beach at sunset with her camera

The newbie

You need help with everything, from shooting to marketing to selling, and you'd love to build it right the first time.

Creative pinning photographs to a moodboard in her studio

The creative

You're a good photographer, but you get hives when you think about selling, and staying organized feels like a part-time job.

Business owner on a rooftop looking out over the city at dusk

The enterpriser

You can figure things out, but you can't seem to scale to six figures, and you're tired of being the only one who knows how anything works.

What's inside

The whole blueprint: a senior photography business in a box.

Everything I did to build a six-figure senior photography business, and everything I still do to keep it scaling and current.

Part one · Modules 01 to 06

The Sprint

This is my marketing system, and it starts with YOU.

If your marketing sounds like every other photographer in town, nothing else on this page is going to work. So we figure out YOUR voice first, and then we put it everywhere your clients are looking: social, Google, AI search and the real-life conversations happening at school pickup.

Also sold on its own as the Senior Sprint. It's all included here.
01

Build the Foundation

Your why is the most powerful marketing tool you own.

All your marketing comes from this deep identity work, and I walk you through it step by step. Most photographers skip this part because it feels soft, and then they wonder why their marketing sounds like everybody else's. Once your why is in words, every caption, every email and every conversation with a mom gets so much easier.

You leave withYour why statement, the seed everything else grows from
02

Your Message

The senior and the mom are two totally different buyers.

Most of us talk to them like they're one person. You'll build a full profile for each, find your voice, and create your golden thread, the thing that makes people recognize you before they even see your name. When you're in that pocket of talking to your client in language that lands for them, it is legit magic.

You leave withTwo client profiles, your voice and your golden thread
03

Social Strategy

Nobody wants to live on social media, me included.

So we post with a plan and then go live our lives. You'll learn what actually books seniors right now, how to show up on video without wanting to crawl out of your skin, and why everything happens in the DMs. And your grid does not matter, babes. Your clients don't care.

You leave withA posting plan that books clients instead of collecting likes
04

SEO + AI Search

When a mom asks ChatGPT who to book, I want it to say your name.

We cover your website, your Google Business Profile, blogging the easy way and the new rules of showing up in AI answers. I'm not an SEO expert, I just do a ton of research so you don't have to, and you won't touch a single line of code.

You leave withA site and profile that get found, by people and by AI
05

Word of Mouth

Make them talk about you behind your back.

This is the referral side of the business: past clients, local relationships, schools, boutiques and the little touches that make families brag about you at the dinner table. We create such a great experience that they have no choice but to tell everyone they know.

You leave withA referral system that runs all year
06

Lock It In

Social, word of mouth and SEO only work when they work together.

So we take everything you just built and turn it into one plan that fits your real life, your capacity and your season. Spicy brains welcome. This plan is built to survive a busy fall, a sick kid and a week where life lifed, because done is better than perfect.

You leave withA 90-day marketing plan you'll actually follow

Part two · Modules 07 to 09

The Money

This is where we stop leaving money on the table.

Fair warning, a lot of you are going to have some feelings in this part, and that's totally okay. Pricing touches every story you've ever been told about what you're worth, which is exactly why I coach the mindset right alongside the math. You'll see my real pricing, my real reasoning and the exact words I use, and then we make it yours.

07

Teams

Teens decide who gets hired, and they drive the sales.

This is how a rep team fits into your business, and it takes you straight into my full Creative Team Method course. It's how my students fill their calendars with seniors who already love them before they ever book.

IncludedThe complete Creative Team Method course
08

Pricing

I'm not the cheapest photographer, and that's by design.

My actual price list, why I price the way I do, and the complete Price for Profit class. We build your collections, your price anchor and your minimums so the numbers work on paper and in your gut. There's a photographer for every budget, and you get to decide which clients you're for.

IncludedThe complete Price for Profit class, my Canva pricing template + my AI concierge tools
09

Selling

You're the driver of the sale. We don't work at Starbucks.

This takes pricing even further: how to structure collections and a la carte, how to run an ordering session that feels like helping, and the NLP that helps you hit your sales goals while feeling completely in service to your families. No more "here's your flash drive, see ya."

You leave withCollections, a la carte and an ordering session you love running

The Work

Images that make the moms AND the seniors lose their minds.

This generation wants to collaborate on their session, and their parents want a photo they can frame. You can absolutely give them both, and do it without living in Lightroom every night.

Shooting & Posing for Gen Z and Gen Alpha

You're more than a white dress in a field.

Why editorial shooting matters so much to this generation, how to bring lifestyle posing into every session, and how to direct a nervous seventeen-year-old so she walks away feeling like a model. Plus what's already shifting with Gen Alpha, so you're ready for them before your competition even notices.

You leave withPosing for today's seniors and a session flow they brag about

Editing

Your edit is part of your brand.

Finding your own editing style, one that speaks to Gen Z and doesn't cost you a ton of time. We make it recognizable, repeatable and fast, so you get your nights back.

Part four · Modules 12 to 14

The Edge

The part that gives you your time back.

This is where you start running the business instead of the business running you, with the AI tools I use every single day and a version of me that's awake at eleven at night when you have a question.

12

AI Tools

Never stare at a blank page again.

Every bot and AI tool I've built for senior photographers, including Senior Sunday and the Brand Book skill, ready to use in ChatGPT or Claude. They're trained on how I teach, so they help you write like you and plan like a CEO.

IncludedAll of my AI tools for photographers + lifetime updates
13

Systems

CEOs don't clean toilets, babes.

How to make sure the business doesn't run YOU, with all the systems I recommend. Client experience, workflows, the busy season and the slow one, and what to hand off so you can stop doing every single thing yourself.

You leave withA business that runs without you holding it together
14 The one everybody asks about

Meet Pocket Renee. My brain, in your pocket.

Okay you guys, this is the part I'm the most excited about.

Pocket Renee is built from years of my real coaching calls with senior photographers, more than a hundred of them, plus every course I've ever taught. Every question my students ask over and over, every answer I've given, the scripts, the reframes, the pep talks and the "girl, you need to stop" moments all went into it.

So when it's eleven at night and a mom just asked for a discount, or you're staring at your price list wanting to cry, or you finally sat down to post and your brain went blank, you don't have to wait for a call or ask a Facebook group full of strangers. You ask me, and you get my answer, in my voice, the way I'd say it to you on Voxer.

I haven't seen anything like this in our industry. Most courses hand you a pile of videos and wish you luck. This is years of my coaching, ready whenever you need it.

An example conversation
I want to raise my prices but I'm terrified all my clients are going to leave. Help.
Pocket ReneeOkay babes, first, everybody feels this, me included. There's a photographer for every budget, and the families who are right for you will gladly pay it. Let's look at your numbers together and pick a new price that feels a little scary but doable. And tell me something... whose voice is that saying nobody will pay it?
...my mom's, honestly.
Pocket ReneeYep. That's just information, and you get to decide what to do with it. Let's write the price list YOU believe in, and then I'll give you the exact words for your next inquiry.
Woven through every part of it

The mindset work that makes all of it stick.

High school senior with long dark hair wearing a gold head chain, editorial senior portrait by Renee Bowen

You can know what to do and still not do it, so here's what nobody else in the senior industry is teaching:

Your subconscious mind has one job, and it's keeping you safe. It doesn't care about your booking goals. So when you go to raise your prices or hit post on that video, the scared little seven-year-old version of you climbs into the front seat and grabs the wheel, and suddenly you're "too busy," or "waiting for the right time," or rewriting a caption for the ninth time.

I've been doing this inner work on myself for over twenty years, so I don't teach mindset as a pep talk at the end of a module. It lives inside the strategy. In the pricing module, we also look at the voice in your head that says nobody in your town will pay that, and whose voice it actually is. Content brings up the visibility fear that makes you hide, so we work on that too. And selling comes down to how you receive money, which, fun fact, is usually how you receive compliments.

  • NLP and reframing, so the stories that kept you small stop running the show
  • Nervous system work, because regulation doesn't have to look like a Zen master, and you can't grow from a body that feels like it's in danger
  • Small brave reps, in doses your system can hold, and then a little further
  • Human Design and a dash of woo, as optional self-awareness tools for the ones who love them

Asking for money, holding a boundary with a parent, posting the video anyway... each one rewires a different synapse. We do that intentionally here, and that's how the change actually lasts.

Renee Bowen laughing on a phone call with a coaching client
What it feels like in here

You're safe here, and you're going to grow.

I want you to exhale when you get here. A lot of you have been doing this alone for a long time, piecing it together from Facebook groups and free webinars and that one photographer who never answered your DM. In here, there's no dumb question, nothing is graded and nothing you're carrying is too messy to bring in.

I check in on the human first. If life lifed this week, we work with the week you actually had. I celebrate your wins loudly, because your brain needs the proof, and I ask a lot of questions, because the answer is usually already in you and my job is to help you hear it.

I'm also going to push you, lovingly and with a whole lot of belief in you. A good coach never shames you or forces you into discomfort, but I also keep you accountable. I teach you how to trust yourself so that you can navigate your business on your own. I don't want you to rely on ME longer than you have to.

Every conversation ends with your next right step, one or two real things you can do this week. That's how the big changes happen around here.

"I went into this coaching program expecting to come out with just a new business model. Today, I can't help but feel like a new person, a human being who knows her 'worth', who knows she's 'deserving'."

Stephanie Marie
Renee Bowen, Los Angeles senior photographer and certified coach for photographers, holding her camera
Who you'll be learning from

Hey, I'm Renee.

I'm a luxury senior portrait photographer in Los Angeles, a certified life and business coach, and the host of Tried & True with a Dash of Woo, which is a pretty accurate summary of how my brain works. I built a six-figure senior photography business, I figured out marketing the slow way, and I've been studying Gen Z (and now Gen Alpha) for longer than is probably healthy.

For a long time I mentored photographers, but it never went as deep as I wanted it to, because the work I care about is transformational. So I became a certified life coach and added NLP, hypnosis and brain training on top of my BA in psychology. Now I help photographers level up their life, and their business right along with it, so they can get abundant AF without the slimy sales tactics.

And I'm still running my photography business. A lot of photographers who teach mix their education income into their photography income, and that isn't fair to their students. I want you to know exactly where my results come from, which is the same studio, the same seniors and the same systems I'm handing you. Even though I've been doing this for 20 years, what I teach is not just a regurgitation of what worked for ME. I teach you how to make this 100% your own, based on your location, your clients and how YOU want to run this business, which is the main difference between this and any other course you've purchased.

I want to work with photographers who are READY to leap... the ones who don't make excuses for themselves, who are hungry to create a better life, and who are tired of doing beautiful work for a fraction of what it's worth.

Let's make sure

This program is not for everyone.

This is for you if

  • You're new to senior photography and feel totally overwhelmed by where to start
  • You've bought other systems only to find out they don't pertain to seniors at all
  • You're giving your images away and leaving money on the table with prints and products
  • You want to know who Gen Alpha is and how to market to them before your competition figures it out
  • You'd rather not spend years spinning your wheels trying to figure out higher sales on your own
  • You're a go-getter, a big thinker, a risk taker, with an entrepreneurial spirit

This is not for you if

  • You're not interested in actually doing the work
  • You'd rather blame the market than take responsibility for your own life and business
  • You're more committed to being cynical than to being coached
  • You shoot weddings, newborns or families and want something general, since this is built specifically for senior photographers. However, I have coached photographers in ALL these niches, so email me and let's chat about a custom coaching container for you and your business.
  • You want a template to copy without ever learning why it works
Real talk

How long are you going to wait to make a change?

I say this with so much love: staying where you are has a price too. It just never sends you an invoice.

Play with these two numbers for a second. Be honest with yourself, nobody's watching.

That's what you're leaving on the table every year

$25,000

or about $2,083 every single month you wait

Napkin math, not a promise. The real number depends on you, your market and the work you put in.

And the money is only part of it. Think about one more senior season of moms asking for digitals, a whole year of posting into the void, and yet another fall where you're slammed and somehow still broke. Next year's seniors are choosing their photographer right now. The only question is whether it's you.

Two ways to do this

The same blueprint. Two ways to work it.

Both editions give you the whole program. The difference is whether you want me in your corner while you build it.

The Studio Edition

"I want the whole playbook, and I'll take it from here."

Every module of Senior Photographer Pro, including the complete Senior Sprint, the Creative Team Method and Price for Profit, plus every AI tool I've built for senior photographers and Pocket Renee for the questions that come up when you're in the middle of it.

You get access to everything the moment you enroll, you move at your own pace, and you keep it.

$2,997

Enroll in the Studio Edition Payment plans available at checkout through Klarna and Afterpay.

The Private Edition

"I want you in my corner while I build it."

Everything in the Studio Edition, plus twelve weekly 1:1 Zoom calls with me and access to me on Voxer the whole time, for the stuff that can't wait for a call. We build your business together, with your prices, in your market.

You also get my entire vault of education: Calibrate, the Fit Check style guide, every pop-up marketing class and every other training I've made.

Here's why this matters. The strategy is the easy part. What usually stops a photographer from charging $3,000 is the voice in her head that says nobody in her town will ever pay that, and a course can't catch that voice in the moment the way I can on a call. When we work together, I hear the belief sitting beneath the question you're asking, and we rewire it right there with the same NLP and hypnosis work I use with all my private clients. You stop fighting yourself, everything moves faster, and that's why my private clients so often tell me they got more done in a few months with me than in years on their own.

starts at$5,500

I only take two new Private Edition photographers a month, and we'll need to chat first to see if we're a good fit to work together.

Schedule a free call with me to discuss Payment plans available through Klarna and Afterpay.

"During the 1:1 sessions with Renee via Zoom I was able to ask her anything and everything regarding my Senior photography business and she had helpful, thorough answers to ALL my questions. Renee was always super quick and responsive to my Voxer messages."

Annelise Bliss

"I have already made that investment back and then some. No joke."

Jennifer Helmka

"Renee helped me design pricing and collections for my High school seniors and revise my website and social media marketing approach."

Before you ask

Questions I get a lot.

What is Senior Photographer Pro?

Senior Photographer Pro is my senior photography business course and coaching program. I'm a luxury senior portrait photographer in Los Angeles and a certified life and business coach, and this covers marketing, pricing, selling, rep teams, shooting and editing for Gen Z, AI tools and systems, with the mindset work built into every part. It used to be called Level Up.

What's the difference between the two editions?

Both include the complete program. The Studio Edition ($2,997) is self-paced, and it includes the Senior Sprint, the Creative Team Method, Price for Profit, my AI tools and Pocket Renee. The Private Edition (starting at $5,500) adds weekly 1:1 Zoom coaching with me, Voxer access between calls and my entire education vault. I take two new Private Edition photographers a month, and it starts with a call.

Is this for new photographers or established ones?

Both. If you're new, you build the whole business the right way from day one. If you've been shooting for a while, you finally fix the pricing, sales and marketing pieces that keep you from being profitable or fully booked.

I only need help with marketing. Is this for me?

If marketing is the only piece you need right now, start with the Senior Sprint, my complete marketing system for senior photographers. Senior Photographer Pro includes the entire Sprint and then adds pricing, selling, rep teams, shooting, editing, systems and AI tools.

What's the best way to get more senior clients?

Start with your identity and your target client, the senior AND the parent, then build a marketing system where social media, Google and AI search, and word of mouth all work together. Once your pricing and your sales process match the clients you want, the bookings follow. That's exactly how Senior Photographer Pro is laid out.

How is this different from other senior photography courses?

I'm still running my own senior photography business, and I'm a certified life coach trained in NLP and hypnosis, so you get the strategy and the mindset from the same person. This program starts with identity before tactics, and it's built to help you create YOUR business in YOUR market, not a copy of mine.

How much should a senior photographer charge?

There's no single right number, because it depends on your market, your costs and the experience you offer. Most profitable senior photographers sell collections and printed products instead of digital files alone. Inside the program I share my full price list, explain why I price the way I do, and teach the Price for Profit system for building toward a $3,000 sale.

I'm scared to raise my prices. Will this still work for me?

That fear is exactly why the mindset work lives right inside the pricing module. Almost every photographer I've coached felt it. We take it in steps your nervous system can handle, I give you the exact words to use, and you collect proof along the way, because you believe whatever you have proof of.

Is there a senior photography coaching or mentorship program with Renee?

Yes. The Private Edition of Senior Photographer Pro is my 1:1 coaching for senior photographers: twelve weekly Zoom calls, Voxer access the whole time and my entire education vault. I take two new photographers a month, and it starts with a free call.

What is Pocket Renee?

Pocket Renee is an AI coaching tool built from years of my real coaching calls with senior photographers and every course I teach. It answers the questions students ask me most, the way I answer them, any time of day or night. It's included in both editions.

Is the mindset stuff going to be too woo for me?

It's grounded in psychology and NLP, and it's practical: the voice in your head, how you talk about money, why you hide on social. Human Design and the extra woo are there for the people who love them, and completely optional for everyone else.

Do I need to be good with AI or tech?

No. The AI tools work in ChatGPT and Claude, and the AI search module is a strategy lesson, not a coding class. If you can update your website and your Google Business Profile, you can do everything in it.

How long do I have access?

You get access to everything the moment you enroll, and you keep it.

Are there payment plans?

Yes. Klarna and Afterpay are available at checkout for the Studio Edition. For the Private Edition, we'll talk through payment options on our call.

What's the refund policy?

Because you get access to all of the content the moment you enroll, all sales are final. If something feels off once you're inside, email me at renee@reneebowen.com.

Does this work if senior photography isn't big where I live?

Yes. One of my students lives in Australia, where senior photography isn't a thing, and she said she felt fully equipped to launch it as a service, from setup to pricing, product and shooting.

High school senior on a Malibu beach at sunset, senior portrait by Los Angeles senior photographer Renee Bowen
Don't do it alone

Ready to become THE senior photographer in your area?

Entrepreneurs who learn from a mentor succeed at a much higher rate, and it's the connection that makes the difference. Next year's seniors are already scrolling, asking their friends and asking ChatGPT who to book, and every season you spend figuring this out alone is a season of them choosing someone else.

Your timing is perfect. Let's build it.

xo, Renee
